FTDI / Pulse Based Hardware

🎯 Module Purpose

The FTDI / Pulse-Based Hardware module is designed to unlock classic coin-op style operations for your modern VR arcade.

By utilizing FTDI (Future Technology Devices International) USB-to-serial adapters, this add-on allows operators to seamlessly connect traditional legacy payment hardware—such as coin acceptors, bill validators, or token meters—directly to a VR PC. The module captures the physical electrical "pulse" signals sent by these devices, maps each pulse to a specific monetary value, and automatically starts a VR session once the required amount is reached.

This is the perfect solution for creating unattended, self-service VR stations using traditional arcade payment methods. (Note: For hardware that is not physically connected to the VR PC, operators can bypass this add-on and utilize the SynthesisVR Offline Access Point API instead).
